SINGAPORE – Chinese thesp Tang Wei is to be honored as Asian Female Star of the year at the upcoming CineAsia exhibition industry convention in Macau (Dec, 4-6).

So far Tang has appeared in a single film "Lust, Caution," but her perf has won awards and accolades around the world.

"We're willing to bet that Tang Wei is a name you'll be hearing a lot of in the future," Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of CineAsia, said.

Prize will be awarded on the closing night ceremony on Thursday next week (Dec 6).
